There’s less than a week to go until Salon Privé London welcomes guests to the unique and beautiful surroundings of Royal Hospital Chelsea on 18-20 April – and this year’s event, the third running of the season-opening spectacle, is promising a bigger-than-ever line-up of luxury, performance and collectable cars from the world’s most iconic brands.
“This year’s Salon Privé London is set to be the best yet,” said director David Bagley. “Marking the official opening of the automotive event season, we have secured an extraordinary array of automotive icons this year, including special themed days with truly crowd-pulling gatherings of legendary machinery to be showcased on the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea. We truly believe this year’s line-up will be unparalleled and unmissable.”
There are special celebrations planned for each day of Salon Privé London 2024. Porsche Day on Thursday 18 April will celebrate 50 years of the Porsche 911 Turbo. In what will be the first display of its kind in the UK this year, 50 Porsche 911 Turbos will be presented on the lawns of Royal Hospital Chelsea. The line-up will include some very rare and limited-edition Porsche 911 Turbo models – and one of the stars of the show will be an ultra-rare Porsche 911 964 Turbo S Leichtbau, the first-ever lightweight Turbo built by Porsche, and one of only 11 in right-hand drive.
Friday 19 April will see an exclusive world record Aston Martin Valkyrie supercar parade. In association with the AMV Owners Club, the unique spectacle will include the largest-ever gathering of 10 Aston Martin Valkyrie, along with two Aston Martin One-77, an Aston Martin Vulcan and Aston Martin V12 Speedster. Media, influencers and celebrities are being urged to sign up to a VIP press call at 11am on Friday 19 April to witness the world record gathering attempt – details are provided below.
Also on Friday 19 April will be Magnificent McLarens, which will showcase the very best of the famed British brand with more than 30 models on display. The Salon Privé London collection will include a lightweight McLaren Elva, the iconic McLaren 675LT, the bombastic McLaren 720S and its latest hybrid supercar, the McLaren Artura Spider. This all-new convertible version of the Artura offers the same thrilling performance with the added exhilaration of open-air driving.
On Saturday 20 April, Salon Privé London will welcome the exclusive SCC private members supercar club, to put on a jaw-dropping display of 50 incredible motors to make sure the family-focused Supercar Saturday will definitely be one to remember this year. Supercars already confirmed include a Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Senna, Ferrari F12 tdf, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS and a Koenigsegg CCR.
World-class manufacturers will also be out in force at Salon Privé London. The new Polestar 4 is making its debut at the Royal Hospital Chelsea event, ahead of the first cars arriving in the UK later this year. A pivotal new electric SUV, the Polestar 4 combines SUV practicality with saloon car refinement and sports car dynamics. It can accelerate to 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds yet still has a range of well over 300 miles. Salon Privé London visitors will also be able to check out a very special feature that makes its styling so unique – the lack of a rear window! The freshly-updated Polestar 3 will be on display as well; the popular car now has an EV range of up to 379 miles.
Koenigsegg UK / Supervettura, the official UK retail partner of the famed Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg, is presenting the Jesko for the first time in the UK. Described as the ultimate track weapon, it has a 5.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 1,280hp on pump fuel – or 1,600hp on E85 biofuel. Using the revolutionary new Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST), it is available in road-oriented Jesco Absolut, or track-focused Jesko Attack, with up to 1,400kg of downforce. The famous Koenigsegg Regera, a luxury megacar designed to be an alternative to the firm’s extreme, lightweight, race-like road-legal cars, will also be displayed.
Aston Martin London returns for its third year at the Royal Hospital Chelsea grounds with the mighty DBX707, officially the world’s most powerful luxury SUV. Capable of 0-62mph in a scant 3.3 seconds, Salon Privé London guests are the prime audience for this beast of a machine. The British luxury brand will also be showcasing the new Aston Martin DB12 super-GT alongside the new Aston Martin Vantage, which boasts revised looks, a thoroughly updated interior and a colossal power increase from 510hp to 665hp.
Rolls-Royce represents the epitome of luxury and bespoke motoring. The ground-breaking all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre is to grace the Goodwood firm’s line-up at Salon Privé London 2024. With over 500hp, this cutting-edge luxury coupe performs in whisper-quiet silence yet has a range of almost 330 miles for serene long-distance grand touring. For those who prefer petrol-powered Rolls-Royce, the 6.75-litre V12 Rolls-Royce Ghost will also be showcased.
JLR will present Range Rover from its House of Brands at Salon Privé London. The stunning new Range Rover P615 SV, one of the most powerful models ever with 615hp, will be displayed in beautiful British Racing Green, and guests will be able to inspect its SV Serenity Caraway leather interior, set off by aluminium-weave carbon fibre. The Range Rover Velar will also be on the JLR stand, showcasing a range of bespoke options.
Fellow British brand Lotus, which recently celebrated record sales, will present the Eletre all-electric hyper-SUV at Salon Privé London. Described as rewriting the rulebook for SUVs, it has more than 600hp yet is capable of over 370 miles on a single charge. Meanwhile, the new Lotus Emira I4 is the firm’s latest lightweight champion sports car, with a thrilling combination of agility and power.
MG is another British brand that’s thriving today, and the new MG Cyberster electric roadster will provide an attention-grabbing example of its rebirth at Salon Privé London. The modern-day incarnation of the MGB Roadster, it is a thrilling new car that produces up to 536hp for 0-60mph performance in just 3.2 seconds. The Cyberster, which was also designed in London, promises accessible affordability too – just as classic MG roadsters did in the 1960s and 1970s.
BRABUS is a German luxury brand famed for its bold designs and bruising performance. At Salon Privé London, the firm’s official UK partner Top Cars of Sheffield will present the UK launch of the new BRABUS Range Rover, based on the P615 SV model and boasting both a carbon fibre aero package and a bespoke hand-crafted diamond leather interior. It will also show the BRABUS 820 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, whose monstrous 820hp flat-six engine offers 0-62mph performance in a staggering 2.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the BRABUS G800 will show off the BRABUS Widestar appearance – and there will also be a BRABUS G800 finished in a carbon fibre Widestar package.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is already an automotive icon. The 1,200hp W16 monster exists in a league of its own – and Salon Privé London guests will be able to do a double-take this year as two examples of this extraordinary machine will be on display.
Sports car icon Porsche will be presenting the latest 911 Turbo, a benchmark high-performance machine with 640hp. The new Porsche Taycan Turbo shows the firm’s all-electric future, and remarkably, has even more power – a colossal 670hp.
The beautiful new Maserati MC20 Cielo is sure to draw the Salon Privé London crowds. It pushes the boundaries of open-air motoring with breathtaking design, thanks to an innovative retractable hard top, and serves up a super-passionate 630hp from its Nettuno V6 engine. The new Maserati Grecale Trofeo is an alluring high-performance SUV for those who need a combination of space, luxury and power.
The internationally-renowned Auto Vivendi supercar club will be attending, promising a mouth-watering display of hypercars. The collection will include a 1,000hp Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a track-focused but road-legal Lamborghini Huracan STO and an ultra-rare McLaren 765LT Spider.
Jensen International Automotive re-engineers classic cars to the highest standards. Salon Privé London will be welcoming back JIA for 2024, where the Banbury company will be displaying three of its creations. The Range Rover Chieftain electric is a fully-electric, fully-restored Range Rover Classic, while the Jensen Interceptor R Supercharged is a classic Jensen Interceptor with a fully-reengineered modern drivetrain. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage R Supercharged also see a V8 Vantage upgraded with a new supercharged V8 motor.
Thornton Hundred Motorcycles is a world-class expert in creating bespoke Triumph motorcycles. The Thornton Hundred Wide Wheel Triumph Bobber is based around a modern Bonneville Bobber. This TH Carbon Edition 1 out of 5 is 55kg lighter than standard, thanks to a full carbon bodywork and titanium exhaust. Every fastener on the bike is also titanium, while the wiring look has been designed in-house. There are even bespoke TH Billet machined components used throughout this extraordinary build.
Krazy Horse is a renowned specialist in custom motorcycles and will be showcasing the new CCM Heritage 71 at Salon Privé London. Limited to just 71 hand-built motorcycles, its gorgeous signature frame is finished in anodic champagne, and set off by twin exhausts created from 64 separate stainless-steel segments. The seven-spike Dymag race wheels are bespoke, too.
The new Microlino will also be launched by Krazy Horse. Described as the ideal mix between motorbike and car, it sees the rebirth of the bubble car as an eco-friendly and ultra-stylish EV. It has a city range of up to 141 miles, has space for two adults (and three beer crates), and is so compact it can actually cross-park to the kerb so occupants can exit onto the pavement. It is proof positive there really is something for everyone at Salon Privé London 2024.
